FUMARE LOU-CHAN: the king of feet

“I love Japan more than anything… except for being stepped on by women.”

The Twitter bio of Lou-chan (踏まれルーちゃん) says it all really. The Brooklyn native, who visits Japan twice a year, has amassed over 26,000 followers all thanks to his highly public and submissive foot fetish.

While little is known of Lou-chan outside of his online presence, he claims to be fluent in Japanese and occasionally teach English. Appearing to be in his late 30s, it seems that Lou-chan visits Japan on brief, whirlwind tours that consist primarily of photoshoots that capture him with his tongue all over stranger’s boots. According to his own bio, he prefers thick soled shoes the most but will take whatever he can get.

Based on his tweets, many of these shoots are pre-arranged but some occur after he approaches strangers on the street. In fact, Lou-chan went viral in 2018 after being caught by bewildered onlookers at Shibuya station as a woman he had just met in a family restaurant stood on his face in high cut Doc Martens. Following this, Twitter was ablaze with retweets of Lou-chan’s photos and he was even discussed on several variety TV programs in Japan.

While the whole situation seems like little more than a method for Lou-chan to get his rocks off (and it most certainly is), he’s surprisingly had a fair amount of social media success. Japan has a thriving fetish community and there’s no shortage of audience or willing models to engage with Lou-chan’s podiatric endeavour. As a result, he’s even had shoots with Kiko Mizuhara (in 2017) and for a while he counted Kyary Pamyu Pamyu amongst his followers.

Lou-chan has currently visited Japan 41 times and it doesn’t seem like he’s going to stop any time soon. While not many share his passion for feet, once you get scrolling on his Twitter it’s hard to look away.
