Grab a Western Brunch at Tractor, Nakameguro

One of the best parts of living in Japan is undoubtedly the diverse and mouthwatering cuisine on offer. That being said, every now and again (especially on the morning after a night out), you can’t help but crave a greasy bacon and egg roll to soak up the remnants of alcohol sitting in your system.

Next time you’re struggling out of bed at 10:00 on a hungover Saturday morning, crawl on down to Tractor in Nakameguro and find exactly what you need. This stylish cafe is tucked away under an apartment building in the back streets of Nakameguro. Often teaming up with other local establishments to support parties and other events, the cafe serves as an all day breakfast hub for the surrounding residents.

The furniture inside is a mish mash of antique pieces that create a disjointed but inviting atmosphere. Sitting on a leather couch, I had the breakfast sandwich and was delighted by the absolutely stuffed sandwich that came out. Two thick, toasty slices of bread with bacon, potato, egg, sauce and cheese dripping out the sides. The eggs benedict and bacon and egg rolls also looked particularly appealing.

All up, Tractor offers a great spot to spend a relaxed morning eating some comfort food and chatting with friends. The only downside I found was a lack of coffee. As you’re in Nakameguro though, you can easily walk to Onibus or any of the hundreds of cafes in the surrounding area once you’re finished eating.
